About Us
 Actually,
this is largely about you!
What are you doing to
promote peace in your life, your family, your neighborhood,
community, state, country and our world?
As for
us, we are a little gathering of people who are trying to
deal with that question. It isn’t so easy as we might
have thought. We’re not a non-profit organization; in
fact, we aren’t formally organized at all. We live in
or near Blaine, an international border town at the northwestern
corner of Washington, our evergreen state. We call ourselves
the Blaine Peace Alliance.
Being our founder, my name is Richard Clark,
a 1948 graduate of Blaine High School. If you wish to learn

a bit about Sam Hill’s Peace Arch, the book I wrote.
I’m
calling our assembly “Vigil for Peace.” But
we’re interested in your vigil, too, and this is why
it’s more about you than it is about us.
